MINUTES FROM AUGUST 5, 2010
Jim reported the U-15 and U-10 team came in 2nd. Teams are being put together for fall. Games will be played on Sundays, starting September 12 until October 31. 11 confirmed players for the U-15 team. Jim will turn in paperwork tomorrow for practice fields. A meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 9.


MINUTES FROM JUNE 9, 2010
Jim reported the regular season is over and after reseeding, tournaments will start next Tuesday, June 15. The U-15 championships will be on June 19 at 7 pm. He said the season went very well.

MINUTES FROM APRIL 1, 2010
Jim reported that there was a meeting on Monday night for all age groups. All LRC coaches were there. First game is April 18. Cathy Naill inquired about a coach requesting to use the Liberty Elementary gym when practices are cancelled due to weather. The coach did not go through LRC. Courtney asked Jim to tell the coach she must go through LRC and not through the principal at Liberty.


MINUTES FROM MARCH 4, 2010
Jim reported there will be a meeting on March 8. There is one U-8, two U-10, 0 U-12. The U-15 team has 18 signed up. He can’t find another coach for a second team. Jim will take the first 14 kids who signed up. He will refund the other 4 and recommend another area for them.


MINUTES FROM FEBRUARY 4, 2010
Jim reported that rules have been set for the different age groups; fees will remain the same. There will be a U-18 team. 48 kids have signed up.


MINUTES FROM JANUARY 7, 2010
Jim reported the league met and discussed rules for 2010. A U-18 team may be formed, beginning after the high school season and going through to July. There will be a meeting on Monday night to discuss fees for this year.

Jim reported that the weather has been bad and the fields never dried out. They lost the last 4 weeks.

MEETING MINUTES FROM APRIL, 2009
Jim reported that there was a county meeting on March 16 to discuss rules and to hand out schedules. There was a coaches meeting held on a different night for 8, 10, 12, and U-15 year olds that was also attended by a county representative for umpires. Any coaches that had any questions could talk with the umpire. Our LRC coaches went to this meeting. The season starts on Monday, April 13. Jim reported that the LRC schedule for all games at the park will be taped to the refrigerator in the concession stand. A question came up regarding opening the concession stand and that some coaches are unaware that they must open it. Jim stated that all coaches should know that the concession stand must be opened for all games and parents from each game being played must maintain the stand. That is where much of our revenue is generated from. Jim will discuss this with the coaches again.


MEETING MINUTES FROM MARCH 5, 2009
Jim reported that there is a county meeting on March 16 where they will hand out schedules, go over rules, etc. There will be a LRC coaches meeting to hand out equipment, practice schedules, rosters, etc. on March 8. All teams begin practicing on March 14.


MEETING MINUTES FROM FEBRUARY 5, 2009
Jim reported that the fees have been set already. The registration was this past Tuesday night. This coming Monday night will be league meeting at the Pizza Hut in Frederick at 7 pm. A question came up regarding how the age is split and Jim answered that it is determined by the child’s birth date as of January 1.


MEETING MINUTES FROM JANUARY 8, 2009
Jim reported there will be a meeting coming up to go over the 2009 rules for each age group. At the last meeting the fees were set for 2009. The U-10, U-12 and U-15 fee will be $210/team. The U-8 fee will be $150/team. The schedule will start the 2nd week in April.

MEETING MINUTES FROM NOVEMBER 6, 2008
Jim reported that the season has ended and that it was a good season. Jim’s team went 16-0 and Chip’s team went 10-0. There will be a meeting on the second Monday of every month setting guidelines and rules for next year. Courtney congratulated Jim on a successful season.

Jim reported that there are games played every Sunday. The U-15 team, coached by Jim is 8-0; the U-12 team, coached by Chip Ridgely is also 8-0. The concession stand made $210.

Jim reported that the regular season is over for both. There will be 2 teams put together for fall softball. One 15 & Under (possible may be 2 teams) and one 12 & Under. Practices will begin on 8/17/08 and the first game is the 1st Sunday after Labor Day. There is a softball clinic at the park from August 11-13

MEETING MINUTES FROM JUNE 5, 2008
Jim reported the softball season is over and they will be going to playoffs. Baseball regular season for 12 and Under is over this weekend and the N.E. tournament starts this Sunday at Libertytown. The in-house tournament starts next week.


 

MEETING MINUTES FROM APRIL 3, 2008
Jim reported that practice has started. The softball coaches in the county have met and they have the rules and schedules. The baseball coaches will meet this Tuesday and they will get their rules and schedules. Jim will check to see who still needs to be certified. Jim asked Courtney to check with a coach to see if we will have a 16/18 yr. old team—need to know by April 10.

Donnie reported that he has received only one bill from Liberty regarding practicing there and asked if Jim or Courtney has received a bill, which they hadn’t. He also said there are 6 people from Liberty and 5 people from Woodsboro for the travel team.

Roger reported that the next meeting for N.E. is April 8.


MEETING MINUTES FROM MAY 1, 2008
Jim reported that the season has started. There is no 16/18 team and there is now only one 13/15 team; the other 13/15 team has been dismantled. The baseball meeting was held on April 8 and the coaches were given their schedules and the all star coaches were picked. Regarding softball, the 11/12 team is trying to play a game at night under the lights.


MEETING MINUTES FROM MARCH 6, 2008
Jim reported that there are 16 teams—5 softball teams -2 U-8; 1 U-10 and 2 U-12. There are 11 baseball teams-3- 4/6 yr. olds; 2-7/8 yr. olds; 2-9/10 yr. olds; 1-11/12 yr. olds; 2-13/15 yr. olds. He said there are 6-7 kids signed up for the 16/18 yr. olds so far. He is waiting for tryouts to be done at the high school level to see how many more sign up. Practice begins on March 15. Workday at the Park will be on April 5. Jim will meet with the coaches this weekend. The Babe Ruth recertification is in process—the coaches have either finished taking the course or are just about finished. Babe Ruth will send recertifications to Brian Klein, President of N.E. Baseball. The recertifications are good for life. Jim is in the process of completing all the paperwork for the county.
