Meeting called to order at 7:02 pm by Courtney
Nash, President.

SECRETARY'S REPORT
Secretary’s report read and approved with following
changes: Dave Masser, not Masters, was called. It
was Courtney, not Jim, who reported the portable
pottys would be moved.

Treasurer’s reports from April 1 and May 1 read and approved.

PARKS & REC
Amy gave Courtney a newsletter; gave Jim information for nominations
for good sports award to a player and coach; also gave Jim new
rental application with new fees; and reported the Association
of Rec Council meeting is November 22.
WEBSITE
Courtney reported that he sent Christen information to be put on website. Brenda
also reported that Christen emailed her asking for newsletters and Brenda forward
email to Connie. Courtney will call Connie regarding sending out a newsletter.
SOFTBALL
Jim reported the U-15 and U-10 team came in 2nd. Teams are being put together
for fall. Games will be played on Sundays, starting September 12 until October
31. 11 confirmed players for the U-15 team. Jim will turn in paperwork tomorrow
for practice fields. A meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 9.
BASEBALL
Jim reported the season is over. A fall team, coached by John
Blankenship, is being put together. He currently has 9 players
and recruiting more. There is a N.E. meeting on Tuesday, August
10. Courtney reported that he received the information from
Jim regarding the injury to a player and sent it to the county
in July.
SOCCER
Jim reported there will be no soccer program this fall as not enough
players signed up.
OLD BUSINESS
Jim had 75 letterhead printed and gave it to Courtney.
Courtney reported the county received an insurance check for the
batting cage and it was fixed the week of June 14.
Courtney reported the storage container was moved the week of June
14.
The concession stand at the park was turned over to Parks & Rec
on July 8. The locks were changed and all keys were turned in except
one to the outside storage. There are still issues with the breakers
turning off; Earl Eyler will look into it. Courtney asked that 2
receptacles be changed to regular outlets instead of GFI.
Cathy gave checks to Jim for items that were left over and then sold.
Courtney thanks Cathy for selling everything.
Parks & Rec is looking into putting in an alarm system for burglary
at the concession stand at the park
Courtney reported the installation of the motion detector light will
be done this weekend.
NEW BUSINESS
Courtney wants to change the wording on the registration forms
regarding using a child’s photo on the website. Discussion
followed and Amy shared how Parks & Rec words their forms.
Courtney will check more into this and we will discuss at next
meeting.
Tentative registration dates for winter sports are Tuesday, September
21; Monday, September 27; Wednesday, September 29; to be held in
Liberty Elementary cafeteria from 6-8 pm. Jim will send in paperwork
and should know at the next meeting if these dates are accepted.
