MEETING MINUTES FOR JANUARY 5, 2012

Meeting called to order at 7:04 pm by Mike Galcik, President

PARKS & REC
Nothing reported.

WEBSITE
Courtney Nash reported that the current website person Christen Phillips would like to continue doing our website and that she is able to improve upon it if we like. Megan Hardesty to call her for details.

BASEBALL/SOFTBALL
Registration discussed as being 1/24/12, 1/25/12, 1/30/12 with snow date of 1/31/12. From 6-8 pm in the Liberty El. school cafeteria. Games to begin on 4/10/12.

N.E.
Mike Galcik reported that the new start date for baseball games to begin will be 4/10/2012.

SOCCER
Nothing reported.

BASKETBALL
Reported as running smoothly per Jim Stockman per Courtney Nash. The fact that it is getting close to the time of the "reshuffle" was mentioned.

CHEERLEADING
Nothing reported.

OLD BUSINESS
Courtney Nash reported that Jonathan Stevens who was the recipient of and LRC scholarship is attending the University of Maryland at College Park. Courtney Nash suggested since all LRC teams will be black, red, and white that if there is more than one or two teams we can use different hats or different colored collars on shirts to differentiate between the two LRC Lancer teams.Megan Hardesty to call Linganore High to be sure we can use the symbol of the spear.

NEW BUSINESS
Courtney Nash mentioned that Laura Niconger is no longer the contact at the church as the person who schedules the meeting times at the thrift shop, and Mike Galcik said he would call the church to see whom we should speak with in the future. Courtney also mentioned giving the church a donation. Courtny Nash turned over various documents and keys necessary for running LRC to Mike Galcik. (Storage buildings, concession stand keys, etc.) Courtney Nash says the bulk mail is to be renewed which Rochelle McFarland said she would take do. The "Epostcard" filing is to be followed up on. Courtney Nash revealed the fact that we must comply with the new concussion awareness rules and forms at registration time of all sports. Jennifer Liberto was voted into office as the new LRC Corresponding Secretary. Mike Galcik is to follow up with Jim Stockman regarding sponsorship by Lawn Services Inc. in the amount of $300.00. It was said that we need to find someone to help out/ be in charge of the concession stand. Mike Galcik stated that Tanya Galcik is willing to assist someone with the concession stand. Jen Liberto says she will take over the job of making the secret LRC chili meat. Courtney Nash suggested that the LRC newletter be done 7-10 days prior to when it is to be mailed out. Courntney Nash receives plaque of recognition of service. Jim Stockman is said to be Athletic Director.
